David Lekich is a Managing Director and Chief Counsel for Schwab Asset Management™. He is responsible for the legal functions supporting Schwab Asset Management Solutions™.
Mr. Lekich joined Schwab as corporate counsel in March 2000. He was promoted to vice president in February 2004 and senior vice president in September 2011. Prior to joining Schwab, he was an associate at the law firm of Dechert (formerly, Dechert, Price & Rhoads) in Washington, D.C. from 1998 to 2000. During his time at Dechert, Mr. Lekich advised open- and closed-end investment companies and investment advisers in all aspects of their operation, including regulatory, corporate, and business matters.
Mr. Lekich earned a Juris Doctorate from the University of North Carolina, and a Bachelor of Arts in both English and philosophy at the State University of New York at Geneseo.
