Jonathan de St. Paer is President and Chief Operating Officer of Charles Schwab Investment Management, Inc. (CSIM). CSIM is one of the nation’s largest asset managers and is the investment adviser to the Schwab Funds, Laudus Funds, Schwab ETFs, and multi-asset, equity and fixed income separate account strategies. In his role, Mr. de St. Paer oversees operations for CSIM, including separate account trading, operational and investment risk, data, technology, governance and board relations.

Mr. de St. Paer joined Charles Schwab & Co., Inc. (Schwab) in 2003 and has held various leadership roles within CSIM throughout his tenure. Most recently he oversaw CSIM’s Strategy, Product Development, Product Management, and Business Oversight teams.

Before joining Schwab, Mr. de St. Paer worked at McKinsey & Company, where he was a member of the Corporate Finance and Strategy practice. Earlier in his career, he worked in investment banking at Bear, Stearns & Co. Inc.

Mr. de St. Paer earned a Master of Business Administration with a major in finance from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania and a Bachelor of Arts in political science from the University of California, San Diego.
