Rick Wurster was appointed President of The Charles Schwab Corporation in October 2021. In his role, Mr. Wurster oversees Investor Services, Advisor Services, Workplace Financial Services, and International Services, and continues to serve as Head of Schwab Asset Management Solutions.

Mr. Wurster is also CEO of Schwab Asset Management — the investment adviser to the Schwab Funds, Laudus Funds, Schwab ETFs, and equity and fixed income separate account strategies — as well as CEO of Charles Schwab Investment Advisory, Inc. (CSIA). Previously, he served as CEO of ThomasPartners, Inc. and Windhaven Investment Management, Inc. prior to their integration into CSIA. 

Before joining Schwab, Mr. Wurster was employed at Wellington Management as a portfolio manager and McKinsey & Company where he was a leader of the asset management practice and an Associate Principal.

Mr. Wurster earned a Master of Business Administration from The Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College and a Bachelor of Science in economics from Villanova University. He holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst® (CFA) and Chartered Market Technician® (CMT) designations. He also serves on the investment committees for the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art and the Menlo Park-Atherton Education Foundation, as well as the Board of Governors for First Tee.
