Ruta Stiess is a Portfolio Manager supporting the municipal bond strategies at Schwab Asset Management.

Previously, Ms. Stiess was a portfolio manager at Wasmer, Schroeder & Company, LLC where she was responsible for co-managing the tax-exempt strategies, day-to-day tax-exempt security selection, and trade execution. (Schwab Asset Management became the investment adviser for the Wasmer Schroeder^TM Strategies in 2020). Ms. Stiess began her career at Wasmer Schroeder as a marketing associate.

Ms. Stiess earned a Bachelor of Science in finance from Florida Gulf Coast University. She is a CFA^® charterholder and is a member the CFA Institute and the CFA Society Naples.
