Steven Chan is a Senior Portfolio Manager for Schwab Asset Management. He is a member of the team responsible for the management of the Schwab Taxable Bond Funds and the Schwab Fixed-Income ETFs. His primary focus is on corporate bonds. He has prior experience managing government securities including Treasury inflation-protected securities.

Mr. Chan has been a portfolio manager with Schwab Asset Management since 2007 and has held a number of positions at the firm since beginning his tenure in 1996. His previous roles include managing the portfolio operations and analytics group and working as a senior manager in finance. Prior to joining Schwab, Mr. Chan was a manager of finance at GT Capital Management.

Mr. Chan earned a Bachelor of Arts in managerial economics from the University of California, Davis. He is a CFA® charterholder and is a member of the CFA Society of San Francisco and the CFA Institute.
