Catherine MacGregor is a Managing Director and Chief Legal Officer for the Schwab Funds and the Schwab ETFs. She is responsible for the legal functions supporting Schwab Asset Management.

Ms. MacGregor joined Schwab in July 2005 as Vice President of Mutual Funds Compliance. Prior to joining Schwab, she was a Senior Associate in the investment management practice at Paul Hastings Janofsky & Walker in San Francisco from 1999 to 2005. In that role, Ms. MacGregor focused on investment adviser, mutual fund, and hedge fund legal, regulatory, and compliance matters. Before that, she was with AIB Govett, an SEC-registered investment adviser from 1997 to 1999, where she most recently served as its Compliance Officer and Corporate Secretary. Ms. MacGregor also worked in Fund Administration and Compliance at Chase Global Funds Services Company (now JP Morgan) in Boston from 1993 to 1997.

Ms. MacGregor received a Master of Business Administration and an LLB from McGill University in 1991, and a Bachelor of Arts in Management-Economics from the University of Guelph in 1987.
