Emre Erdogan
Emre Erdogan is Managing Director and Head of Quantitative Innovation for Schwab Asset Management. Mr. Erdogan leads the team responsible for designing Schwab’s next generation of investment solutions while enhancing the firm’s current lineup of funds, solutions, and investment strategies. He and his team focus on making sophisticated, personalized investing more accessible to everyday investors, advancing personalized indexing, tax-smart implementation, goal-based portfolio construction, and the responsible use of AI across the investment process. Mr. Erdogan also leads the research behind Schwab's quantitative and multi-asset capabilities, including strategic asset allocation and glide paths for the Schwab target date funds, Schwab Equity Ratings, Schwab Investing Themes, option overlay strategies, passive equity, passive fixed income and strategic beta products, partnering across portfolio management, product, technology, manager research, and trading. Additionally, he helped design Schwab Personalized Indexing®.
Prior to joining Schwab in 2011, Mr. Erdogan was a quantitative developer at Bloomberg L.P., where he built U.S. and international equity and fixed income multi-factor risk models. He was also a quantitative analyst at ING Investment Management.
Mr. Erdogan earned a doctorate and a Master of Science in operations research from Columbia University and a Bachelor of Science in industrial engineering from Middle East Technical University, Turkey. He is a CFA® charterholder.
